And then there was grass.
Tyler Street -- time passes uneventfully in this average neighborhood community.
Not much has been going on in Berkeley recently. At least not in the ways of Dave-Barry-esque column writing inspirations, that is. For the most part things have been relatively 'mock me please' free, except maybe the incident in which we mowed our lawn for the first time in our four months of residence here. The entire neighborhood came out of their houses to witness the never-seen-before event and many of our spectators offered up free access to personal garden tool collections in hopes of encouraging us to take a more active role in their neighborhood beautification. Playing with the neighbors' tools was wonderfully enjoyable. For example, who knew a weed whacker was just a piece of wire sticking out of a motor? My dorky alter ego burst with delight at this magnificent discovery. A mechanical engineer's dream: So simple, so effective. But aside from the weed whacker discovery, the event wasn't particularly mock-me funny, nor am i all that motivated to write about it in detail. I do find it amusing, however, that the incident happened two weeks ago and the lawn is already overgrown again.
The estimated date of Lawn Mowing Day #2, based on grass-growth estimations and laziness projections research, is the day a hungry goat wanders onto our front yard.
Other than this, things at 1615 Tyler are as they always have been. Astrid has as many boyfriends as ever (think double digits), Seph is currently brushing his teeth, and the inside walls of the house are chemically reacting with Josh-arrogance contamination. I personally am thinking about putting an end to chronic laziness and getting a real job sometime, but that is probably redundant since 'things at 1615 Tyler are as they have always been.' Maybe if Atrid cleaned the bathroom someday...
that would be a non-redundant.
On a side note, I took a married man on a lunch date this morning. I didn't mean to though. It was an accident.
