Dude #3
S scolded me. He wants to see a spreadsheet of freebies collected via online dating, and I wasn't meeting expectation. I addressed this issue by asking Dude #3 to take me to a comedy show -- an activity with high $ value.
The comedian was funny. Between acts, Dude and I chatted for minute, and I mentioned the collection of rums I received for Christmas. And he responded by inviting me to taste rums after the show at his house. He keeps a collection of premium rums.
Aware of my choices, I pondered the possible

responses:
(1) acknowledge his see-through attempt to get me drunk at his house and refuse
(2) resolve to manage uknown level of attempts at physical advance, in exchange for access to the multi-national collection of rums
What can I say. The rums were delicious!

German Roommate thinks that online dating will be easy. He filled out a profile, which says he "likes chick flicks" and he's "really good at smiling."
GRoommate then stated his plan to write to exactly one girl, for her to respond to him, and then for her to join him for a date.
Despite his terribly low odds (and the fact that he hasn't written to anyone yet) he has started shopping for outfits for the date. Knowing GRoommate, he'll buying lots more cardigans and boat shoes, whether he messages her or not.
Over the Hill
To continue my awesome-gifts-streak from xmas, for my long-anticipated 30th bday I received beers, wine, liquor, port, and... some wind chimes.
I celebrated the event with a party, where I apparently...
| |
led a conga line,
| slapped someone,
|
| |
kissed a moose,
| celebrated 3 decades by triple fisting,
|

... and drank tequila out of my friend's belly button.
Maybe 30 isn't so bad after all. :)
