SATURDAY - Palo Alto residents criticize Laura's blog.
So i was at home over the past weekend, innocently spending some lovely time with old friends, solving world hunger, curing disease, and performing other generally saint-like activities when the subject of blogging came up. To my surpirse, two of my houseguests that i had generously welcomed into my warm home so as to shield them from the bitter cold of the outdoors were bold enough to criticize me for keeping a blog. It mad me suddenly sad that such beautiful people could have so little love for their fellow man. In fact, i was so appalled that the box of life-saving vaccinations i was currently addressing to the starving children of Africa fell right to the floor. Of course to protect the identities of these two poor souls, i must allow them to remain anonymous, aside from the fact that their names are Jordy and Gene, they are both tall, brown-haired Stanford graduates currently living in Palo Alto, California, and their photos are posted to the right. (i tried to find embarassing ones)
At the moment of the criticisms, i didn't really care much, condsidering that one of the primary purposes of this blog is mock blogs anyway. In fact, I had totally forgot about the whole thing when, to my surprise, one of the critics directly requested that i make fun of him in my blog. You see, even after their little comments, at least one of the aforementioned persons actually decided to hunt down my blog - without me giving him the webaddress - for no reason other than to read the entries and even leave cute little comments. Sigh. If that's not a plea to be mocked in my blog, then i don't know what is.
So anyway, being the saintly philanthropist that i am, i thought it would only be fair for me to make the selfles sacrifice of precious time in order to fulfill their desires and write this column about them. When they read this entry (which they totally will) they will officially be reading a blog entry about they fact that the specifically do not like blog etnries. Not that i am calling them hypocrites or anything. (Ooops, did i write that out loud?)
